East Lothian has 40 miles of breathtaking coastline and award-winning beaches.
Stroll along the shore and gaze out to sea, paddle in the surf, hunt for shells, explore rock pools, or keep an eye out for dolphins and seals. Many of our beaches offer public and accessible toilet facilities. Showers are available at several popular locations, including Belhaven Bay, Yellowcraig, Longniddry and John Muir Country Park (Tyninghame/Linkfield)

Parking Information
Please note we do not use QR codes on our parking meters. Payment should only be made by card, cash or via RingGo.
There is a charge for parking at most coastal car parks to support the maintenance and management of facilities. For just £3.00, your ticket can be used to visit at any of East Lothian Council’s coastal car parks throughout the same day. Tickets can be purchased from the on-site pay and display machines or via cashless payments using RingGo.
Parking is free on Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year’s Day and 2nd of January, as well as for Blue Badge holders.
Blue badge holders are currently exempt from parking charges.

Parking is prohibited at all coastal car parks between 11pm and 4am.
Please note that Yellowcraig beach has three designated bays for overnight parking by motorhomes and campervans. The charge is £10 per night, and spaces are available on a first-come first-served basis.
