Stenton, which means 'Stone town', is a beautiful farming village found south-west of Dunbar,  This picturesque village goes back to the 1500's where it was, and still is, an agricultural village made up of large pieces of farmland.  It's home to a gothic Parish Church which was built in 1829 and has fine stained glass windows from the late 19th century of various scenes. 

What to see and do...

  • Pressmennan Wood is beautiful mature woodland and sits on a vantage point overlooking Pressmennan Lake and the surrounding countryside.  It is home to an abundance of wildlife, such as deer, owls, otters & bats as well as some strange mythical creatures, 'Glingbobs and 'Tootflits'.  Kids will love searching for their hidden homes in the trees.
