East Lothian is well-known as one of Scotland's top golfing regions. Just over the water from the world's true home of golf in St Andrews, the spectacular east coast vistas and long-established golfing roots have made it a place of pilgrimage for lovers of the game. When people think of golf courses, they likely imagine golden sands, immaculate greens and powerful coastal backdrops. We strongly believe our region delivers on all fronts. While the quality and quantity of full courses available is extremely high in East Lothian, there are also fantastic facilities for beginners and those looking for some laid-back practice.
Along with nearby East Links, West Links putting is the perfect place to work on the all-important knack of the short game. As golfers know only too well, it's the short game that will make or break your round and the element that requires the most practice and patience. Backed by the stunning panorama of Scotland's eastern coastline at North Berwick including the inimitable Bass Rock. Our 18-hole putting greens are open to all. Whether you're a local resident looking to hone your skills or unwind for a bit or you're just passing through and looking for a gentle introduction to golf, this is a great source of seasonal sporting fun. Embrace the coastal winds. We very much encourage family participation and childrens putters are also available for hire. Although typically a very formal sport, our putting facilities are intentionally informal and all ability levels are welcome.
