This is a heritage walled garden of high horticultural interest, established in 1972 and recently completely renovated. It is run by Haddington Garden Trust "for the enjoyment of the public, and to encourage the study of old Scottish gardens and gardening methods. The beautiful site complements the ancient buildings which it links, especially St. Mary's Church and Haddington House. The garden incorporates a community orchard, laburnum and hornbeam walks, and a mount overlooking the River Tyne. The cottage garden is sited in front of the 17th century Apple House.
