This is a beautiful 9-hole course set in gently undulating parkland on the outskirts of the picturesque village of Gifford. With the Lammermuir Hills as a scenic backdrop and bounded by mature woods and farmlands, the course is maintained to the highest standards. It has a well-deserved reputation for its first-class greens, which are a challenge for even the best of golfers.
The course was laid out in 1904 and it has benefitted from the fact that during the first 100 years the club had only four head green keepers, indicative of their love for the course, continuity of maintenance and continued evolution. Subtle improvements are carried out annually and this can be seen in the recently renovated tees and bunkers throughout the course.
The clubhouse is small and comfortable, totally in keeping with a nine hole course and the original architecture has remained unchanged over the years.
